About Snug

Candles have always been a comfort thing for me in our home. I wanted to create not only a candle but an experience, whereby when you light your candle, a sense of relaxation, comfort and cosiness diffuses within your home.

My candle obsession has always been ever present however it was highlighted since relapsing from cancer at 24 years of age. During this time, naturally all I wanted was a sense of comfort. I wanted to be surrounded by all things comfy and cosy, this for me was the flicker and scent from a candle that created a safe place in a time of such uncertainty.  

I relapsed and had cancer for the third time and that's when I had the realisation that when it was all over I would take a leap of faith and start my very own business.

Now being back to great health again, It's safe to say that it wasn't only my love of candles and all things cosy that brought me on my journey, but also what it signifies in my own life - passion and joy.

I am a very proud Mammy to my little girl Róisín. She has been such a huge part of this journey so much so that the love heart on the 'Snug' logo is drawn by her. Not only that but she has been actively involved in testing various scents with me. Together we light candles in our home every day and love the calmness they bring, together we decided on the core scents and together as daughter and mother we embark on this next chapter. 

This brought me on my endeavour to bring my very own range of candles to life in the hope that they too would be a source of comfort and cosiness in the lives of many.
